White rage is the problem and has been the problem. The people of Greenwood created a prosperous community because they were blocked from integration and white folks STILL had an issue with it. It was one of the most devastating and destructive events in this country but I bet you didn’t learn about that in school, did you? Most White people just learned about Greenwood in 2020. America doesn’t tell stories that make her look bad. The truth is hidden and people of color are villainized. There is a plethora of historical documentation to support this so it’s not just an opinion. America needs to do BETTER by ALL of her inhabitants, not just the majority population.
