By ALL. There is no denying that a huge part of the population would rather deny the creation of this country. I grew up in an upper-middle class neighborhood in California and still did not learn anything about Black history (or history about anyone who was not of European descent) in any class from elementary to college. Thankfully both of my parents were scholars and my siblings and I were taught at home. My own children who also went to decent schools did not receive proper history about their ancestors. However I have friends who grew up in underprivileged areas and their curriculum included history for different ethnicities intentionally. When I got to college, these friends who grew up in what the world would call a ghetto knew more about Black culture than most of us who were raised in predominately White suburbs.
