Excellent article. I resonated with it from start to finish. We have enough to endure as Black women and being tasked with also validating our own shared experiences of racism in this country is a bit too much, to put it mildly. The world appears to be lost on the fact that we are just as worthy and deserving of protection and respect as white women who receive it without effort. I don't have an immediate solution, but I do feel that articles such as these and others will help bring awareness to what we as Black women know as a regular part of life and hopefully cause a reckoning for the those have chosen apathy over empathy.
