From my experience, the White men who respond to my articles to have a “discussion” have no genuine desire to have an honest dialogue about anything other than imposing their will and defending their position. I can count on one hand the open-minded White men I’ve encountered online. Most have been condescending and indignant unless I’m agreeing with them.

Racism is real. The discussion segment of this show has long ceased. Either people understand that and join forces to create a better world or keep their heads in the sand going back and forth debating topics that do nothing to save lives.

I work in communities but I write because it’s my passion and it’s a great way to communicate issues on a larger scale. But the time I have spent going back and forth with White men who ultimately could care less about Black people anyway and just want THEIR voices to be heard (as if White men all over the world don’t already have the biggest voice in every setting) is time I need to reserve to fight for my people.
