I don't disagree with your take at all. I think there are many ways to discuss the madness here in the US regarding the "woke" phenomenon. There is an unhealthy obsession with a word that my people created as a form of protecting us from harm and injustice, but the motive is dangerously clear: distract the masses to allow racism and oppression to continue. And of course, it's working.

I just couldn't believe the irony of a woman who wrote a book about a specific topic FREEZING when asked to define said topic. It was wicked poetry in motion...lol. For Black folk, it was the gazillionth confirmation that some White Americans are more concerned with creating dog whistles and fear mongering than anything else. It would almost be funny if it weren't so dangerously toxic.

I'll stop by your neck of the woods to read your always enlightening and entertaining pieces :-)
