Hi April - I read the first chapter of your memoir holding my breath. From the moment you said "Mr. Merriweather" I felt a familiar catch in my throat and my pulse quickened worried for the 11-year-old girl who would be alone with this man. You are so BRAVE to speak of this and I applaud your desire to help others. I am also a victim of trauma (physical, sexual and mental abuse at the hands of my ex-husband) and writing about it in my books became THE best therapy.
