I can respect what you are saying and we actually do agree that something had to be done to stop her from stabbing the other young woman. My gripe is that mass murders have been taken alive but this teenager was shot 4 times in the chest. Are officers not equipped to engage in hand to hand combat? Could he have, as you said, simply tased her or if he had to shoot, couldn't he have chosen an area of her body that wouldn't result in instantaneous death?

Our children simply aren't seen as valuable in the eyes of these type of officers. There are too many other incidents where White kids had weapons, AKs, etc., and they lived to do their sentence. This young woman was in a foster home which tells me something else was already going on. Not to make an excuse for what she did, but I just believe officers have a greater responsibility to preserve life for all people in all neighborhoods, not just the ones where the residents look like them.
