I could have literally highlighted this ENTIRE article, but I thought that might be overkill...lol. You are an AMAZING writer and I felt these words in my spirit. It is literally exhausting to deal with racism, sexism, stereotypes and the like in this society. It pains me when I see women who I know are strong and opinionated curtail their voices to avoid having that "angry Black woman" stamp placed on their heads. We have been the backbones of EVERYTHING but still catch the most hell. When someone tries to minimize phrases like Black Girl Magic I always say, the ONLY way you can justify the way Black women still thrive, still shoot and reach every goal, still excel in most fields, still have more education, more class, and more style than most in a world where we are treated as if we are not worthy of respect and reverence is that we are the DEFINITION of magic. Another EXCELLENT article that should be required reading!!!!
