I think I'm missing your point here. Yes there are things that shouldn't be said but it's not like this is new - the things that have always been considered as acceptable by White people to say about Black people have NEVER been appropriate. The only difference is that now people are being called out about their racism and discrimination in real time.

The concern shouldn't be if saying something will make someone lose their job. The concern should be for White people to do some self-reflection, address any racist tendencies so they won't ever have to worry if what they are saying is offensive or not. No Black person or any POC wants things to go back to the status quo. Those days are long gone.

When you say "everybody knows that" I'm not sure what you are referring to. Using a generalization like that in this society is rarely something that holds true since everyone thinks differently.
