We need to be able to address our past and honor our ancestors without being silenced and told "but that happened in the past." History is important until it tells the truth about Black people and the savagery we endure at the hands of white supremacists. Then it's irrelevant. But we won't be silenced and thankfully strong voices like yours will keep us continuously awake and ready.
