If school curriculums incorporated the full scope of history to include white violence, our children would have had a very different experience, as would Black people as a whole. The fear of blackness would be replaced by a different fear that looks a lot like what everyone witnessed on Jan 6th. That is America and it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. The lengths that were taken to rewrite history and completely omit the truth is happening again right now via the 1776 commission, Trumps broke-down attempt to compete with the truth written in the 1619 project. The pen that writes history is the one that rules the world and I couldn't agree with you more that it's time we control this narrative.
