It’s so ironic that my best friend and I literally had this discussion about 2 days ago. We watched a show called Lovecraft Country where a Black woman took a potion to become a White woman and we thought, we don’t want to be White, but just to feel the privilege for a moment. I have got to share this article with her! But I really love this highlight because if White people would even take a few moments to acknowledge that how they experience life is the polar opposite of a Black people, those with compassion may be motivated to do more with their privilege to help make things better.
