I’ve gotten to know her very well and she actually did clarify. She did not mean he wasn’t “hood or about that lifestyle.” She meant that she was a White woman who doesn’t see color, which she now understands is highly offensive. And she and I both know that not all Black men (or men of any ethnicity for that matter) are “hood.” That's a horrible misconception in this country that we are trying to eradicate.
