My ancestors should never had to fight for ANYTHING. If White colonizers hadn't enslaved them, who knows what lives we may have had in our respective countries - which by the way we have to do DNA tests to even find since our entire history was wiped away by our oppressors.

I can understand your passion from your perspective, but I don't think it's possible for you to ever be able to fully see it from mine. From what my ancestors have endured and what people in my own family and friend circle STILL endure today, I will never be able to agree that the affects of slavery were a "thing of the past." We are having this discussion on race because the insidious residual affects still remain today. It is very difficult to explain this concept to those who have never been on the receiving end of oppression, but Black people understand this and that is why we are working to unify and eradicate injustice once and for all. Thank you again for your comments.
