Race is a social construct. I couldn’t agree more. But it was created by white colonizers to differentiate between Africans and Europeans for the sole purpose of enforcing white supremacy.

Black people are not the ones you need to present this argument to. We have been the ones fighting for humanity since we arrived on these shores in 1619.

We understand better than anyone how important it is to viewed as humans FIRST. But unfortunately we live in a society that has dehumanized us and continues to do so with no end in sight.

Everyone with statements such as yours has missed the entire meaning of my article. It was to give real life examples of how a society that does not prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion affects the psyches of Black oeople, causing undue hardships that the majority population rarely if ever has to endure.

If you want to preach about humanity, start by acknowledging what I said as a human being instead of forcing your own reason why you feel it’s racist to ensure all humans receive the same opportunities and education.
