I write because I am an activist and use this platform to express my views to a broader audience. My sole purpose is to secure the liberation and freedom for Black people in America. I have two children who will hopefully one day marry and have children of their own, and I have to do my part to help make conditions better for future generations.

I do not engage on Medium seeking "sparring partners" although I find many unsolicited fighting matches in my comment section. Being that you grew up in an area without Black people, you wouldn't be someone I could have an intelligent conversation with about the Black experience. Your views on us are limited to what you read and see in the media, which is never an accurate depiction of who we are as a people.

There are many writers on Medium who may choose to engage with you and what it is you are trying to do and I'm sure you will find what you are looking for. My sole job is to help my people and the thought of being a willing "sparring partner" to anyone is exhausting.
