That breaks my heart. I heard a similar story about a Black physician. Thankfully she was able to advocate for herself to get treatment but the experience was beyond traumatizing when she already feared for her life. I view fixing things literally one person at a time. It's the only way to prevent hopelessness from setting in. I'll never give up because there's too much at stake. Thank you so much for reading.
