The writer spent a year writing the book so I'd say she had ample time to give a good definition.

My issue is Mandel's entire book and false claims that introducing children to anything but the nuclear white family is considered a "woke reimaging" of the US which in her eyes is negative.

My second issue is that instead of just saying "I had a brain fart" she had to blame a Black woman by giving an unfounded excuse that conveniently could not be fact-checked.

My overall issue is so many people coming to this woman's aid and suggesting that in this so-called free country, I must conform and agree with anyone who thinks my opinion is not valid.

That will never happen. This white woman hardly needs my sympathy. She is the most respected and protected in this country and will go on to make a lot of money from her fear-mongering book. Those of you who continue to make excuses for her simply proves my point because Black people in this country are hardly allowed to make excuses for ANY flub, no matter how big or small.
