This article resonated with my soul. I now received MORE racist comments than positive ones. I do not have as large of a base that you have and definitely feel the tide turning to a lack of patience for anything speaking the truth about racism. I am dismissed and disregarded and actually decided today that I would be leaving Medium soon. I do activism work in the community and my energy and spirit have been highly affected by the toxic environment here. It would help if there was a balance, like I often see in your comments with very supportive people and Medium staff, but without that, the barrage of hatred is a bit too much too bear. I was up and couldn’t sleep and this article jumped out at me. Thank you so much for writing this and I’ll always be an avid supporter of your work no matter where I am 💜
