We are on the same page. Your comment just seemed to be placing blame without looking at the whole picture. Black people are not in favor of violence- we are trying to stop it from being perpetrated against US. If you tap a bear long enough, it will wake up and attack you. I’m just always confused why some White people seemed shocked when the violence is committed by those who are under attack. No I don’t agree that violence is the answer. But if White people have problems with peaceful protesting (and yes they do, the NBA and NFL are examples) and obviously problems with violent protesting (as we all do because Black people are also human beings who want to be safe) then I’m not sure what White people suggest as an answer. Most (not saying this is you) would prefer that Black people just shut up and take it so that it won’t disrupt their lives or make them accountable for dismantling the oppression they benefit from. It is a horrible predicament to be in, especially when it’s our lives at stake.
