We've tried kindness, we've tried educating, we've tried explaining, we've tried demonstrating, and the response is always lukewarm or nothing at all. You are shaking up the anti-racism fight and your words stop people in their tracks. Sometimes change requires getting uncomfortable and hearing those in your face words that make you sit up and take notice. If we can endure the physical and mental effects of oppression, surely White people can listen to some words of truth and bear witness to it.
