You are entitled to your opinion but you’ve missed the entire point because your words are clouded in judgment. I used these popular figures to bring attention to the fact that Black women all over the WORLD have their symptoms downplayed and rejected by the medical community and society at large. Your post is a prime example of this.
I’m not just speaking of celebrities. If you kept reading and viewed this with even an ounce of empathy instead of being ready to pounce with the usual whataboutisms and denials, you would see that I told my own story as well.
If a woman of any ethnicity speaks up and says that she is having difficulty keeping her mental faculties stable, the expectation of "carrying her team" should go out the window. Black women have been carrying people on our backs for centuries. And if this isn't a "Black" thing as you say, name me one White woman who is an athlete who was chastised for taking care of herself in any capacity. THEN we can have an adult conversation.
The purpose of this is to bring awareness to the treatment of Black women in this country and around the world. And until you’ve walked in my shoes, you aren’t equipped to speak on my journey or to deny it.
