You have missed the meaning of my article. I am not claiming victimhood - that is not necessary. American history speaks for itself. Anyone with an ounce of humanity can clearly see that taking human beings from the comfort of their own country for the SOLE purpose of eternal servitude for not just them, but for their ENTIRE LINEAGE is an act of dehumanization in the lowest form.
It is not my job to ensure that White people don't feel guilty. Any White person who feels guilty should address this directly with themselves and do whatever they need to do to feel a different way. No one in this country is willing to address the abhorrent and savage treatment of my ancestors that continues to this day and I certainly never have White people coming to me concerned with my feelings about that. In fact, most White people do exactly what you did, which is deflect from what I am either speaking or writing about and return it to their own hurt feelings or guilt.
We are not victims - we are simply honoring our ancestors and telling the TRUTH about what happened to them. Everyone else is able to speak of their ancestors but when we as Black people do, we are met with challenges and whataboutisms. This is tiresome, to say the least.
